We added juicy, tropical fruit Papaya to help with digestion and to fight bloat when we fly.
We become bloated when we fly because the higher we are, the lower the pressure. When there is low pressure, volume (our gases) increases and we feel bloated. Our digestion slows down at higher altitudes (due to the added stress on our body of being in the air) and so our body redirects blood away from our digestive tract to carry-out more "vital" functions like breathing and keeping our heart beating.
Papaya is a rich source of valuable enzymes, such as papain, chymopapain, caricain and glycyl endopeptidase which especially help to digest "troublesome" foods like high-protein, gluten, and casein in milk.
As a frequent flyer, you are always on the go, and it is often hard to sit down and properly chew and enjoy a meal. Rushed meals and slow digestion means that you will almost always encounter digestive issues.
The enzymes in Papaya work by breaking the bonds of proteins down into their simplest form - amino acids. The amino acids are then easily absorbed and used by the body.
